Please be sure to add your comment to each and everyone of the DT members and on Monday I will draw a winner for a $15.00 G.C. to your scrappy place of choice.

Now, I would like to share a little about myself and how God came into my life.

Hi my name is Tabitha Jones. I am a SAHM of 4 that just recently moved to
TN. from VA due to my husbands job. Three of my children attend school and
I am at home with my 2 year old during the day.

It has almost been a year since I have rededicated my life to Our Lord and
Saviour. About a year ago my husband transferred to TN while I stayed back
with the children trying to sell our house and get things packed up. Although we had wished we could have moved sooner with my husband it was not our time. This is when I turned to our Heavenly Father to confide in and protect us while my husband was gone. I was so engrossed in the Bible everyday I could not wait to get home from
work and start drinking in his word. I guess you could say i was thirsty and under conviction. I felt like I was on top of the world talking to everyone who would listen.

I went to Church with my mom who lived an hour away and went to the alter
to ask Jesus to come into my heart. I felt so relieved and stress free
when I left that day. I knew it was the right thing and I did not feel
like I was missing out on anything in life. My husband was there that day
with me he came home for the weekend. It was not long after that he
called me and told me that he was heading for a Wednesday night service
here in TN. I felt like I was on cloud 9 again. I have prayed for years (even
though I was not saved I still believed) that he would come to know our
Father. Kim (my husband) called me later that evening and shared with me
that he had also asked God into his life. I bet I cried for days. I get
all teary eyes just talking about it. Having God the center of lives is
so strong and fulfilling to me.

The Lord has really truly blessed us in so many ways. Although our house
has not sold yet he has still provided us a house here in TN to rent until
it does sell or rent. We have been able to financially cover both houses
and I have been able to stay at home. We have no family here at all they
are all back home in VA and OH. We have a fabulous Church that we call our
home.

I wanted to share a quick story about finding the right Church for us. While my Dh was in TN and I was in VA with the kids. One day they were bickering back and
forth I made them get there bible and memorize John 3:16 and they had to
recite it to me the next morning. They did a great job and off to work and
school we all went. While at work I checked my email and opened the Daily
word from my mom she sends it out to her friends and family everyday. Lo
and behold what did I find but the word of the day was John 3:16. This all happened
before my Dh was saved. Anyhow the night he called me he told me the name
of the Church he was going to so I just had to look it up on the computer
and what was there verse on the Home page John 3:16. I knew that the move
to TN was the right one and knew he would take care of us and that
Clarkrange Baptist was exactly what we needed. Although we are still new
around here and don't know many people I do believe this is the plan that God had for us.
If we were to have stayed where we were in VA. I don't think I would be
sharing with you how Great Our God is because I was so caught up in everyday life.
I am still so excited and to grow with God each and everyday. Because My God is an Awesome God.
This is the layout I did of my husband Kim and I. Now, we are as clean as snow.

So Blessed....Giving my all..

Nana posted another challenge over at My Paper Tree house about what talent we fill that the Lord has blessed us with.

Of course I immediately thought of my children. This is my journaling:
My four children are such a sweet blessing from the Lord above. You see when I was younger I always told myself that I did not want children. I guess that was because I didn't want them to think that I was a bad mother. All of that changed once I met Kim we had been married a little over two years when we found out that we were pregnant. I was scared and so super excited. I think we bought a million testes. they were all positive. Now, the we have been blessed with four amazingly healthy children. I could not even imagine what our lives would be if I still decided against having children. I thank God everyday for Blessing us. ~Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.~ Psalms 127:3. I would love to see what you come up with and share with us what talent has the Lord blessed you with.

Plese be sure to stop back tomorrow as the New Design Team @ MPTH will be hosting a
Blog Hop!!

Many Blessings,
Tabitha

Gingerbread Houses and Pictures of the kids

Each year we try to make Gingerbread Houses. Kim always buys one of the Kits at Food Lion so the kids can have fun putting them together. I think their favorite part is eating as they create.

I hope everyone has had a blessed week so far. I have been working on a few more projects for Christmas and have alot of baking to get done a bit hard since Kim is on vacation this week. I will start next week with the cookies and candy that way I know it won't be eaten, LOL!

Ayla will be having knee on 12/22 she has a torn ACL and Meniscus please keep her in your prayers.

I cannot make myself Holy, only Christ can do that. I can choose to exercise my will for God. I commit myself to Christ, this is an active decision, one that affects the way I live my entire life. I chose to do this each and every day.

~Teach me to do they will for thou art my God they spirit is good lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalms 143:10~

I am Thirsty...

Are you???? Today over at MPTH Nana posted another challenge for us to examine our heart in order to find whether we are being foolish in trying to still appease a God that was already appeased by the work of Christ in the cross or if we understand the Grace that God has extended through the cross. Once you see the Truth of the cross, embrace it and create a project that shows our gratitude to God for loving us in spite of who we are... After reading ans meditating over scripture today I came to the conclusion that I am THRISTY.... I kept thinking about streams of water and how I feel like I am desperate of thrist and how I need to drink in God's word. That is when Psalms 23 came to light. I could also most picture myself sitting there watching the ripple of the water and the green trees gracefully swaying and the birds chirping. Oh, what a glorious site. When the heat and the winds of the storm come, I will not fear for I know you will be there I will take time and come drink from Your quiet stream. I had a couple of ideas in mind when I went to do this layout at first I started off and wanted to use a vase and have water pouring down over a picture. I just couldn't find the one I wanted to use. So, I started again
and found a picture of an open bible. I printed it out onto cardstock and went from there. I am very happy with the way it turned out. The bible verse I used was perfect for this. ~If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. ~ John 7:37

I hope you too will drink the free gift of the water of LIFE...

Many Blessings,
Tabitha

Sushi, Coconut Shrimp and A Daily Dose.....

A Daily Dose? What does that mean to you? A vitamin, a t.v. show, your morning Coffee? A Daily to me is the "Fruit of the Spirit" just like what Leigh Ann Thomas says in 'Time Out". I mean who would not want to bottle up a daily dose of Fruit of the Spirit. Like she said wouldn't you like to take that little pill every morning so you could be bubbling with love, joy faith and patience. Do you have days that you just want to go MAD!!!!!!! If we all just take a step back and self exam ourselves and our life we will realize that if we do not remember to take our Daily Dose with God, our lives will be dirupted and start leading us down the wrong path. So, today I suggest to you. Get up, take in your Fruit of the Spirit pill and enjoy a some nice quality time with Prayer, Bible study and seeking God's will. As my son Jack walks around the house recieting this Bible verse because he is proud that he memorized it. ~Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:11~

Well, yesterday the kids and I headed out to Cookville because Ayla had to havean MRI on her knee. Since my Kim works there we decided to meet up for dinner after words. I was a little nervous driving there by myself because I had not done it yet.
I had no problems it was a piece of cake. I had to stop by Old Navy while I was there. I mean what good is it to not stop they are giving 20% off if you are a card holder. LOL! Anyway, we meet up with Kim and go to our favorite place Mandarian Palace and I had pleanty of Sushi to choose from. I love it that have a ton of different varieties.

It is just like a Japanese Steak House they will fix whatever you want. I even fell in Love with Coconut Shrimp. Granted I do not like Coconut but man it was wonderful.

I hope all you have a wonderful blessed day and stay tuned next week because I feel like giving some goodies away. Remember God is in Control..

Many Blessing,
Tabitha

First snow, Peppermint Ice Cream and the Midnight Cry...

I was doing a little bit of editing on a few photos and came across this First snow of ours here in TN. It was the day after Thanksgiving. On Thursday it was about 72 and sunny then on Friday morning we woke up to this.

Today it has been raining nonstop the said it was suppose to get up to around 67 or so. I don't think it got past about 54 and it is steadily dropping they say we could get some ice and or snow becaue it is going to be in the 20's. Oh, Boy!!! It should look like Crystals in the morning if the weather, man is right. Oh, did I tell you how much I love Food Lion's Peppermint Ice Cream...

YUMMY!!! I just love Christmas time because this is the only time of year I can get this Ice Cream. I am not a big Ice Cream eater until this comes out. Last but not least I want to leave you with this to ponder on today and then listen to one of my favorite songs by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir... Midnight Cry.

~Christian life is definitley not an easy one. We face countless hardships, trail and tempatations, we juggle the demand of family, career and Church responsibilities. We harbor on health and finaces and grieve over loved ones and we become disillusioned and we question our hope and purpose. As moms we all need to take the time to set aside all these worldy cares and focus on eternal joys. Isn't it just simply wonderful to know that Christ has a solid plan for our future and that he is preparing us to spend our future in his very presence.~

~Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Pslam 23:6 NIV~

Many Blessings

The End of November...

First off I want to wish my Wonderful Grandfather Jack a Heavenly Birthday. He passed away in October '92 and went to be with Our heavenly Father. It is raining uncontrollably today it reminds me of an old song called Cold November Rain. by Guns & Roses. I remember when my husband and I were dating we loved listening to this song. Today i am sharing with you the last of the layouts I completed for Cookin Up Creations using Midnight Oil Designs. I hope you like them.

The sandcastle one is when the kids and I went to Smith Mountain Lake with my friend Denise. We were at Christmas Tree Island and they were playing in the sand.

This one is a few pictures of the Gingerbread Houses the kids put togeteher they enjoy putting them together each year. In fact we have 2 big ones to put together sitting right here.

Let me leave you somthing to ponder on... Make Room For Peace.

Our society is a busy one, As we dash from responsibility to responsibilty, we seem to pride ourselves on our busyness as though it somehow proves our worth. Even our children are busy, their schedules crammed with enriching activities. We all fly through life, fitting as many things as can into each day. With such complicated lives no wonder our hearts crave quiet. But what we are looking for is PEACE. The only way we will find peace in our hectic lives is to make room for it. Take time today and spend some good, quality, and quiet time in God's presence. He will breath some peace into your heart.

~Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witness, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easliy beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1~

Many Blessings

Kingdom of God...

Here is another Challenge using scripture. This verse really says it all LOVE is of GOD. The picture I chose to use is of my son Chace he is the last baby I will have. I had a difficult pregnancy with finding out I was pregnant one day and then the nest in for emergecy Gall Bladder surgey they did not know if any of us would make it, but by the Grace of God we both did. I was sick off and on as well on bedrest for a bit. Chace decided he wanted to come about 7.5 weeks early. Well, of course we were excited but scared at the same time as I know how little boys are when they are born pre-mature. The labor was great until the moment he was born. Chace Logan was a miracle for sure you see when he was born he was not breathing it took about 7-10 minutes for him to come to as his cord was tied in a perfect square Knot. I loved that little boy more than anything and I vowed to God that I would bring him up to be a God Loving Man... with that I am blessed and as the Verse goes...Beloved, let us love on another;for love is of God: and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7

Use me as You will, O Lord. Make me an instrument of Thy Glory and will. Send the power of Your Spirit into the world through me.

A new Challenge Blog... Fear of Rejection...

I discoverd a New Amazing Blog over at My Paper Tree House. I loved that they have challenges that glorify the Lord and that you can relate your everyday life with scripture. I found myself drawn immediatley to the Challenges and went for it. The first challenge that I completed was about weakness. Nana suggested that we spend time with the Lord and Pray and ask God to help us surrender to Him in those areas so that His strength would be our sufficiency. Then create a project about what you find... I found that I have a hard time with the Fear of Rejection... I created a layout of my self. I fear of being rejected by people on the outside of my home. The fear that I am not worthy. As I read scripture today this verse came to me. But my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory. Phillipians 4:19. Since I have come to know the Lord as my Saviour I am coming to terms with knowing that I am worthy and that My God is Supplying all my needs.

I let my mind get carried away sometimes, Lord. Please don't let me get too carried away. I need Your wisdm as an anchor when I set myself adrift in worry and in fear. Be my salvation, Father.

All fizzled out...

Sometimes this is just the way I feel. LOL!! This week for my reveal over at Cookin Up Creations I created a layout using Unity Stamps Fizzy Feelins. The stamps are just so darn cute. I also used the Whisker Graphics Divine Twine. If you have not gotten any twine yet it is a must have. It is a Hot product in the scrapping world at the moment.
