More Than Friends Book Tour

More Than Friends Book Tour
by Tabetha Thompson

With all thoughts of Skye and still recovering from her recent attack, Chloe is distracted. Her recently acquired tunnel vision only allows her to see Skye and she misses all the details of the things going on outside her hospital room.

Skye’s love for Chloe becomes stronger every day and so does his instinct to protect her. With Todd still on the loose, the roses that keep appearing on Chloe’s apartment door, Tom’s odd behavior and Sarah missing, Skye is determined more than ever to never leave Chloe’s side. Will Skye’s determination to protect her from Todd, her friends, and even herself be their undoing?

Check out this trailer of the book

My Review:
4.5 Star read!!!

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest opinion. I was happy to read the continuation of Chloe and Skye love for one another. Skye is simply amazing sitting by Chloe'a aide every breath she took. Their love for one another was infectious. The story line was a bit sad to read about the abuse and battery. However Thompson's details were spot on about this situation. A great read for those who have been in a situation like this or know someone who has. i am hoping that we will here more about Sara and Harley.

I also had the honor to read book one as well.

Tormented by a past relationship that she can’t seem to escape, Chloe feels like her only option is to swear off men completely. Two years later, the self-imposed “man-ban” is still going strong, but then Skye walks back into her life. Skye left Bartow thirteen years ago an awkward, pimple-faced boy who didn’t quite fit in, but the man that returns evokes a white-hot fire of desire in her.

Chloe is the only woman Skye has ever loved and he’s not about to let her slip through his fingers again. She may want to put him in the friend zone, but he knows her desire for him is simmering just below the surface. Just when Skye thinks he’s finally broken down the walls of stone around Chloe’s heart, something happens that will leave them both devastated and broken. Are they strong enough to survive?

My Review:
A fun quick read! I really enjoyed this book. It would make a perfect beach read. I love the story line of Skye first seeing and falling in love with Chloe at the dinner only to move away and still pine for her. Skye was a guitarists for the band Escaped who just so happen to be playing at the BAR. Chloe helped manage the BAR and couldn't keep her eyes off of Skye. it had been 10 years and my how he had changed in a good way. Skye was still head over hills for her but could Chloe give him the time of day.  Only time would tell. Chloe did seem to like him but her old boyfriend Todd kept getting in the way. Can Skye and Chloe be more than friends? Pick up your copy today and find out!.

My Review:

My Review:
Another fabulous read By Eliza Brown...

after working with Cash for 3 years Claire was tired of hiding her feelings for him. What little did she know Cash felt the same way about her. Claire was not a very strong and stable girl and had a troubled past. Cash was determined to fight tooth and nail to keep his Claire safe and sound. There were a lot of unexpected twists and turns in this book, but it mad it that much more likable. If you like romance with a twist and some suspense this one is for you. You wont be disappointed.

Mummy to three crazy cute lil minions.

Wife to a sexy tree lopper.

Little sister to a Nutbag, a Fireman and a Linesman.

Owner of a Big Ass Great Dane and a Slightly Psychotic Cat.

Writer of what I like to think are Fan-Freaking-Tastic books.

I discovered books can help you heal, give you motivation to go after what you really want in life and sooth the soul.

I had a strong desire to write a book of my own for quite sometime. So one day, I decided to do it. Simple as that. I had stories running around in my head and it was time to set them free.

I hope you will follow my journey as I discover myself as an author.

Today, I feel like a king with a convincing win under my belt, and the beauty on my arm is the envy of most of the guys here. Life can’t get any better.
I introduce Eevie around. She shakes hands like she means it, holds her own in conversation, and gets the occasional laugh out of guys I didn’t think had a sense of humour. She must’ve been taking note of some of the ins and outs of motocross, having the balls to ask some interesting questions.
Take note, people: funny, intelligent woman with the guts and looks to match. That confidence is heartbreak material. They’re practically drooling over her. It’s almost pathetic. If they thought they had half a chance, they’d be down on their knees in a millisecond begging for a shot.
Boys, it ain’t gonna happen. Every delectable inch of her is mine, including her heart.
Talking with some of the support crew, Jones edges his way into the conversation, standing a little close to Eevie for my liking. He puffs out his chest, and hooks his thumbs through the front loops of his jeans. Blonde hair and a baby face, he’s a pretty boy. A mummy’s boy. From the way he carries on, he probably got everything he ever wanted as a kid, and had all the latest gear. Mum could barely afford to buy my jerseys, and when she did, I wore them until I outgrew them. I had no choice but to make them last. Last round Jones threw a tantrum like a three year old over something stupid. He got what he wanted, though. Disgusting. Not that I give a shit where he’s come from; at least I know I don’t carry on like a fucking twit.
My eyes are on Jones, and he knows it. Damn it, if he doesn’t like pushing my buttons, and having Eevie here he’s gonna do anything he can to push. If he weren’t on my team I’d barely give him the time of day. He’d be half an alright bloke if he wasn’t so self-absorbed.
He acts like he’s engrossed in what Eevie’s talking about, but his eyes travel down her chest, and even lower, as if he’s trying to rip her clothes off purely with the power of his mind. It heats my blood more than it should.
“When you’re ready for a real man, Eevie, come knockin’ on my door,” Jones says. His eyes dart in my direction before resting back on Eevie’s tits. Fucking douchebag.
Eevie frowns, and purses her glossy lips. “Sorry, I don’t understand. If I’m ready for a real man, why would I knock on your door? Wouldn’t I just go home?” She bats those long lashes. That’s my girl.
Everybody erupts into a fit of laughter, me louder than most. Jones shakes his head, and playfully punches me in the arm. “You’re killin’ me, Aidan. You win today, and I hate you for it, and now your woman’s gonna break my heart,” he says, faking a southern American accent. He clutches his chest as if wounded, and winks at Eevie.
I take a long swig of my beer. “Life’s a bitch, Jones.” Now fuck off.

Black Horse Cover Reveal by Author Addison Kline...

Coming on June 28th!

Black Horse by Addison Kline

An erotic Romantic Suspense Novel that will leave you gasping for air...

Add Black Horse on Goodreads!

There is no sensation, no experience more delicious and tempting to the senses than the taste of forbidden love. The longing… The desire… The unquenched thirst for his touch. He was the man I was never supposed to love. I was supposed to hate him. I suppose part of me did and that is what made the desire so much more intense. He set a fire under my skin that burned white hot with every smoldering glance. He sets my soul ablaze, the slow burn of passion aching in every inch of my body.

Black Horse. The name haunted my dreams… But regardless of family vendettas, old hurts and contemptuous blood shed, the heart wants what it wants… and mine has a mind of its own and my mind is set on Colton McClain.

His family is known by his father’s nickname: Black Horse. Like one of the four horses flying out of the gates of hell, Tom “Black Horse” McClain ripped my world apart fifteen years ago. I was only seven when I found my mother and father dead in their beds, with Tom McClain standing over them with a blood stained butcher knife. He would have come for me, too, had my brothers not saved me. Seth, my older brother, swooped me up before I had the chance to scream and covered my mouth with his hand.

Tom McClain sought out the services of my father in a time of great need. My father, Nathan Ford, was a highly reputable criminal defense attorney, who took on Tom’s case when he was accused of murdering his wife after she was caught in bed with another man. Tom didn’t have the money to pay for my father’s services, so he took on the case pro bono because he believed in Tom’s innocence. I remember my dad meeting with Tom in his study while my mother looked after Colton, my brothers and I in the kitchen. We had become very close. My brothers once considered Colton their best friend. Not anymore.

My father got Tom off on a technicality. The prosecution had no reliable witnesses and they weren’t about to rely on the testimony of a five year old boy; Colton himself. He had witnessed the whole ordeal himself. How does Tom repay my father for his kindess and generosity? He murdered him in his sleep. He killed Daddy first. Momma screamed when she saw a man standing over her bed, and that is what woke me. In just my nightgown and socks, I tip-toed down the hall past Timmy, Randy and Seth’s bedrooms and as I entered the doorway to Momma and Daddy’s room, Tom McClain plunged a knife through my mother’s chest. My blood ran cold. I tried to scream but no sound would come out. The next thing I knew, Seth had his hand over my mouth and we hid in the hall closet. Tears streamed down my face as my arms and legs shook. I could her Tom’s boot echo against the hard wood floor of the hall.

“Sssh… Don’t say a word…” I remember Seth urging.
The air in the closet was stifling; warm and dead like a coffin. I could hear my brothers’ heavy breathing. Our dog Micah’s frantic barking from the back yard. She knew something was horribly wrong. His bootfalls were getting closer… louder… I took a deep breath and didn’t dare exhale in fear that he would hear me. Somehow, I was able to stifle my tears, but something happened that was out of my control. My throat caught from my sobbing. Tom heard it. The foot steps intensified, beating a path to the closet door. Seth, still firmly holding me, swung around so I was facing the inside of the closet. I focused on the faded floral pattern of the shelf lining that was barely visible in the dark lighting of the closet. I focused on anything but the sound of Tom McClain’s approaching footsteps. Then a loud clicking sound made it impossible. The sound of a shot gun barrel banging into place. He didn’t even bother opening the door.

Bang! Bang! Then silence.

Out of instinct I jumped into the shelf before me and cowered behind the extra blankets mother kept neatly stored on the shelf. I was stunned that I was still alive, until reality set in. Seth had slumped down against the door of the closet, unrecognizable and motionless. The shotgun blast had obliterated his once handsome face.
I am supposed to hate Colton McClain, but I can’t. When the police showed up the next day, they found Colton locked in his father’s pick-up a block away, hungry, thirsty and distraught. He was taken away by the state and put in foster care because none of his relatives wanted to have anything to do with the Black Horse name. Black Horse was caught trying to jump the border with my father’s wallet in his pocket and $10,000 in cash in a duffel bag. He traveled alone, having abandoned Colton in his truck back in Oakely. I guess his boy knew too much. When officials apprehended him, they ran my Daddy’s license and discovered that he was found murdered. Tom pleaded insanity, but after a thorough psychiatric evaluation, it was concluded that Tom McClain knew exactly what he was doing. He was sentenced to prison for twenty years, having received a lenient judge; a rarity in the State of Texas.

My surviving brothers Randy and Tim could never know about Colton and I. They’ve had it out for him for years. Bloodlines run thick around here. The sins of the fathers will forever haunt the sons, and women are to stand back and stay out of the way. Well, I have something to say about that… Fuck that, Colton McClain didn’t murder my family. His father did… and he suffered just as much as we did. Now fifteen years after the crime that screwed both of our lives up royally, Black Horse is getting out of jail. Just four days until his release. Colton wants to hide me. He said we can run… Start over somewhere else. My brothers are armed to the teeth and a war is about to break out. I have no intentions of sitting down or running away like a little girl. We cannot hide from this anymore.

Our past does not own us, and we owe it to our hearts to show the world that love can arise from the darkest of places.

This Year's New Black by Avery Flynn

A fighter since birth, Allegra “Ryder” Falcon would rather trade in her all-black wardrobe for head-to-toe hot pink than let anyone ever see the cracks in her tough exterior. But one night with a stranger changes everything.

Devin Harris may have given up his MMA fighting dreams for high fashion, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t always in control. So when someone embezzles millions under his watch, he isn’t going to let the private investigator working the case go it alone—even if she is the woman who blew him away in bed and then blew him off.

Just when it seems like it couldn’t get any hotter between Ryder and Devin, the case takes them to a tropical paradise where the danger increases. From the catwalk to the pineapple fields, they have to work together to track down the missing millions before the thief finds—and kills—them.

My Review:
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author.

This book was so fun to read. It was full of adventure, suspense, humor and a dash of passionate romance.  Ryder & Devin  did not disappoint. I loved reading about them fighting with one another back and forth. They both thought that their **** didn't stink. Ryder is a top notch woman who is not afraid of anything. She vows not be  attached to a relationship for a year, but Handsome devil Devin has plans to turn her world upside down once again. Will Ryder put her heart on the line once again for Devin to capture it... Only time will tell. I strongly recommend this book it will take you on a ride.

Excerpts #1 All I was feeling was showing in the bathroom mirror on my reddened face. I was having a hard time enjoying it, instead of being terrified. I cupped some water from the faucet and swallowed, willing myself to get it together. I walked into the hall of the long corridor that led back to the rooftop door and found Seth waiting for me, arms crossed over his chest, casually leaning against the wall. I stood on the opposite wall, placing my hands behind my back. I felt a drop of water drip from my bottom lip onto my chest and slide into the V of my dress. I saw his eyes follow it with envy as he spokes his first words to me. “You are all I think about, and I come here and you look…like this,” he breathed the words to me and I felt them on every inch of my body. I moved to go to him and he made a small gesture that kept me where I was. He still wanted to play and I was game. “What do you think about?” “Your laugh, the way your voice is raspy in the morning when you wake up, the arch of your perfect feet, the way your hair falls over your face when you’re on top of me, the way this feels right now and every time I’m with you.” I pulled my leg through the thigh high slit in my dress propping my heel on the wall behind me and smiled. He cursed as he came toward me in a blur. He stopped himself inches away, placing both hands on the side of my face against the wall. “Temptress,” he whispered into my ear.

#2 “Mom…” It was a plea, a one word apology that begged forgiveness for all the shit I had put her through. I knew my face was a wreck and my eyes were still bleeding salt for Seth. Seth. Another wave of pain hit me and I saw the hard lines in her face disappear. “Laura, what is it? What happened?” I ran into her arms, taking her by complete surprise. She quickly rid herself of her gloves and wrapped them around me tightly. “Mom, it hurts. It hurts so much, I can’t breathe, Mom. I can’t breathe!” “Laura what is it?” She pushed herself away from me, examining me for some sort of physical injury, but with one look in my eyes realization quickly washed over her. “Come inside, Laura Lynn.” I hated that name. It was as southern as it got. All of the people who thought of Texas as the land of tumbleweeds and cowboys were total idiots. I grew up in a town thirty minutes south of Dallas. The only cowboys we had around were on a football team. I was a suburbanite. I felt a small level of comfort when she called me by my pet name. Still, I hated the name. I came clean as I paced the living room, waving my arms around as I spoke, throwing around way too much information. I would see her take in deep breaths as I revealed my twisted world to her. I spared her a majority of the details that I knew would keep her up nights, but the rawness in my heart, the desperation I felt, led me to a complete confession as I paced and cried to her. She would chime in with a question here and there, but mostly sat in silence, growing paler with each confession. I finished with Seth. I saw her eyes moisten as I cried hysterically. I told her of how he had cared for me, of how he had taught me so much, of the way he treated me and how he tore my world apart with his goodbye. I knew I looked like a complete lunatic to her, after almost a year without talking, but I needed her. She was all I had. I finally sat next to her, desperate for whatever light she could shed. “It hurts so much, it’s like my chest is on fire. I miss him so badly already, Mom. Please, help me! I can’t do this. I don’t understand, I haven’t known him long enough. I was with Chris for two years and never cried once.” I watched her weigh her words as she studied me. “Love doesn’t care if you were there for five years or five minutes, Laura. Once your heart decides to give itself away, time has nothing to do with it. It’s not a choice you made, it’s a choice your heart made. You are in love with Seth.” “I know that! How do I make this,” I held my chest with both hands, “stop? It has to stop. I can’t think. I can’t function, Mom.” I felt myself starting to hiccup through my tears. I couldn’t remember the last time I had cried that hard. I saw her tears as she held me to her. She put my head in her lap as I sobbed out what was left in me. She held me close to her until the last tearful breath escaped me. “You know, Laura Lynn, our God is a jealous God. If you love something more than him, he is bound to take it away. Very few people in this world get a chance to spend their life with their first love. It’s a gift only a select few get.”

My Review:
I was very happy to read this book. A great story of opposites attracting with a twist. Laura was a bit stubborn to say the least working as a bartender to get by just recently ending it with her boyfriend and just trying to start over and get ahead. Along come Seth Mr handsome pretty boy jock.  Laura was not expecting to become a Frisbee target. Little did they both know they were totally infatuated for one another. Would this relationship work? Would Seth put up with loud mouth tell you like it is Laura ? Would Laura become wife material for Seth and his well to do life? Be sure to check out this fabulous book for yourself and find out if they find Love ever after.
