Taking Courage
Blurb
Janna’s
ready to make over her life and get out from under the controlling thumb of her father. She doesn't want another failed arranged marriage. She’s ready to do whatever it takes for the career she wants, enter the lifestyle she craves, and to earn the trust and love of the man that has captured her heart, but heartbreak and career hiccups seem to be her destiny.
Simon’s still recovering after his last submissive lied her way into his life. He’s not ready for Janna and how she pushes against his prejudices. He needs to decide if he’s willing to lose her or if he’ll fight for her love and submission.
Excerpt
“Head up now.” Something was agitating the tender bundle in his arms. Simon wanted to help her through it. He may have taken a step back on his training responsibilities since his last experience, but Janna felt perfect under his hand. He’d have to find out if she’d be back. “Yes, Sir.” “What's troubling you, pet?” “I forgot to mention something earlier.” She tucked the blanket under her chin. “Oh?” He rubbed in big circles around her back. “Why don't you tell me now?” “This was my first time, Sir.” “Your first?” His confusion was thick. She tried to hide her eyes from him, but he saw shame. Sometimes newer submissives struggled with firsts. “Is this your first time being a guest?” “Yes, Sir.” “Is your home club much different?” The safe rules of BDSM clubs were pretty universal, a real gift to traveling kinksters, but sometimes a scene in a different setting could be unsettling. “I don't have a home club, Sir. Well, not one that I physically visit.” She rubbed the edge of her blanket. “I'm an active member of their chat rooms.” He hadn't heard her right. No. She felt like an experienced submissive. Was she just playing the part? Anger ticked a quick pace up his spine. “Are you telling me I just gave you your first scene?” “Yes, Sir.” “Why did you withhold this information?” When she didn't answer he added, “Why weren't you honest with me?” He pushed her slightly, in part to get some distance and to keep her safe from him. “Answer me, now.” “I forgot. It all happened so fast, and I forgot one of my lines.” “Lines.” He finished shoving her from his lap and stood. “I hope you had fun tonight.” “I did, Sir,” she said as she stood to join him. She tugged at the edge of the blanket that had stuck in the couch. “Please, let me thank you for tonight.” “There is no need. You lied to me, and you had your fun.” He scratched his brow. “Go home now.” He took two storming steps away and stopped. He forced himself to return to her, disgusted by how good it felt to see her face once more. He stopped within an inch, forcing her to look up. “Do yourself a favor. Enter that club at home, get yourself in a training program, and do not ever lie to a Dom again.” He wanted to hit something. What was it with submissives and their lies? The lie might have been smaller this time, but it was still a lie. He thundered past the scene areas and kept walking, increasing his speed. Folks saved themselves and moved out of his way. Fury radiated down his arms curling his fingers into fists, almost there. Some members thought Keller was crazy when he’d installed the small gym next to the club. When the roster quickly filled, it was Keller that was laughing all the way to the bank. Simon had a regular date with the bag hanging in the corner. He may no longer enter the ring, but the regimented workouts kept him strong and centered. A couple more steps and he'd entered the gym and saw the innocent bag hanging right where he needed it to be. He slammed his fist into the bag. Pressure reverberated from his hand straight to his heart, but it didn't release the revulsion. “Damn her.” He needed to get this out and get back on the floor. One of his best friends was about to collar his sub. The bag swung around. He walked around it and rolled his shoulders back. He wanted to witness the happiness a pair could have when things worked out and no one lied. It was just a scene, something he could shake off, and she was just a guest sub. There was no possible way she could have felt as right as he thought. The anger was tricking him. She was just another lying sub. A sub to forget. A sub he would never see again. “Damn her.” An image of her regret filled face tugged at his resolve. His fingers flexed as he remembered her velvet channel. His cock twitched, and he hit the bag again.

Sami's Review:

Prep list before you start reading this book: 1. A comfortable spot 2. A glass of wine 3. A vibrator and finally total privacy. Not an exaggeration if the chemistry between Janna and Simon u0pon first meeting isn’t enough to melt your undies off some of their scenes definitely will do the trick! Janna has always done what her father has told her to do even down to what man she should marry. Finally she has had enough she divorces her husband and decides to take her life into her own hands. To start she goes to a BDSM club which is something she has always wanted to try but never had the courage to do. This is where she first runs into Simon. While their first encounter starts off with a bang it ends on a sour note. Janna gets a job offer and moves away from her family hoping distance from her father and her ex will allow her to lead her own life. On this new job she is paired with none other than Simon and all she can think about it getting him to give her a second chance. While their relationship has a rocky start the ending is spectacular. This is a definite MUST read!

Tabitha's Review:

This was the first book by this author that I have read. I love quick and fast paced books that get right to the point and this book did not deceive me. Janna has had enough of her families demands and her freedom being stripped from her. She finally decides to make a bread for it and head off to Chicago for some much needed me time. Janna has been fascinated with the BDSM and tries her hand at a Club. That is where she meets Simon she is intrigued with him and is excited to be his for the night. Upon meeting Simon she gets carried away and tells a little fib. Janna is so sure that she wants to be part of this new BDSM lifestyle that she finds herself up and moving to Chicago getting a new job and leaving her past in the past. this book will make you ooooh and aaaaaah at the same time. If your looking to get your a night of reading pleasure then this book is for you.

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for an honest opinion.                 Buy Links

Changed Blog Tour by Heather Dahlgren...

Book Name: Changed
By: Heather Dahlgren
Release Date June 6th, 2014
Blog Tour Hosted By: Author Sandra Love

Kenz hated high school.  Having no friends, no boyfriend, and worst of all being bullied—graduation was the only thing she looked forward to.  After graduation, she completely reinvents herself becoming the person she always wanted to be.  Someone different.  Changed.  When she gets to college, she easily makes friends, boyfriends, and loves life.  For once in her life, she adores the person she has become.
Enter Campbell Boyd —the attraction between them is instant.  He is sexy as hell.  Sweet, romantic, flirty.  He definitely knows how to treat a woman in and out of the bedroom.
Once he has his sights set on Kenz, there is nothing that will stand in his way.  Or maybe there is something that could ruin it all?  One small detail that Kenz tries desperately to ignore—one that can only be swept under the rug for so long.
What happens when the past and present collide and secrets are revealed?  Is it possible to forgive or will it destroy them both?  One thing’s for sure—things are going to change.

Tabitha's Review:
A brilliant first book for this author. Changed is about a group of friends trying to make there way in today's society. A perfect title for a great new and current story line. Sometimes as a teenager you can be cruel and do dirty rotten tricks on people and as you finally grow up you realize maybe I shouldn't have been that way or treated that person bad. In this book it gives you a since of hope that yes people do change and people finally realize that being that mean bully was not good. You will, laugh and cry in this book. I cant wait to read the next book from this author.
Sami's Review:
Not all of us had the ideal high school experience where the laughter was plentiful the friends endless and it was a time full of firsts. This was the case with Kennedy. Kennedy was the one always being bullied and on the receiving end of endless cruel jokes. Upon graduating high school Kennedy vows to make a change; not only in her appearance but in the way she thinks of herself as well; she is done playing the willing victim. Kennedy successfully manages to do these things in college she has great friends and has finally started to see herself in a new light. One night brings all those unwanted feelings back. Campbell is s handsome man and he knows it while he can have any girl he wants he is still in search of “the one”. He thinks he may have found her when him and his friends go out to a bar and a beautiful woman with red hair and stunning eyes looks at him from across the bar and literally makes his heart skip a beat. When he goes over to try and get to know her everything seems fine until he brings up high school football and his lovely beauty bolts like the place is on fire. Campbell has no idea what he said or did to make this happen but is determined to find her and win her heart. Kennedy was totally into the hot guy that walked into the bar he made her feel things she never has before. When she finds out that the hot guy she was drooling over once made her high school life completely miserable she runs not wanting to ever feel that way again. Campbell finally gets his chance to speak to Kennedy and try and see where their relationship can go. Will Kennedy be able to let go of the past and try and make a go of this thing she feels for Campbell? Will Campbell still have the same feelings for Kennedy when he realizes just who she is? Or will tragedy strike one of them before they ever get the chance to figure anything out?

I am 36 years old.  I am married to my high school sweet heart.  We have been married for almost 12 years and have 3 amazing kids.  I’m a stay at home mom and my kids definitely keep me busy.  I live at the Jersey Shore and love all there is to do here.  I love nature, birds especially.  I enjoy hiking and fishing with my family.
I have always loved to write.  In high school I used to write stories, poems and a lot of love notes!  I absolutely love to read.  I love the way I can get lost in a book and forget about the world around me.  Now that I am writing books, I feel the same way, only it’s my book I’m getting lost in.
As for now, I am loving this journey of becoming an author.  It has been more then I dreamed it would be.

You know how it ends, now see how it all began…
"It doesn't matter how many women touch this body, only one woman has ever touched this soul."
Ryan Pierce doesn’t come from much, doesn’t ask for much, and doesn’t expect much. And he's come to accept that, until, Alana Remington. Alana is the girl who struck the match that lit his world on fire. She's the girl who opened his eyes to more. Who made him believe that just because you have nothing, doesn't mean you are nothing. And he loves her fiercely for it. But, just because you come together, doesn’t mean you stay together. One fateful decision rips Ryan and Alana apart and neither of them are ever the same again.
For five years he's regretted that decision, but the deep seeded anger, shame and resentment has kept him from reaching out. And over those five years, a series of moments have spun Ryan's world in a direction he never saw coming. A world ruled by endless nights, infinite women and the name Jack the Stripper. A world, unbeknownst to him, that may just let two severed hearts collide.

(Stripped From You is a Prequel to Strip Me Bare)

*Author Note- Stripped From You can be read as a stand-alone novel, but the author suggests reading Strip Me Bare first.

Excerpt:

“Do you trust me?”

“Of course not, I just met you.”

“Then how about giving me the benefit of the doubt?”

She raises an eyebrow at me, and before I give her a chance to respond I slam the shot then pull her face to mine. And as my mouth covers hers, heat rapidly spreads through my body.

She’s momentarily stunned. Her body is rigid against me, but then she relaxes, parts her lips and lets the tart liquid slide into her mouth.

I can’t believe I just did that.

I can’t believe she just let me.

After she swallows, she lets her lips linger, sucking up the taste of the sweet shot, causing my nervous system to shift into hyper-drive. We break apart slowly, but I refuse to let go of the nape of her neck. She just stares up at me with these enthralling eyes I know I’ll never be able to resist.

“Do you always break the rules?” she asks.

“No, not usually, but you seem to make me want to do crazy things.”

“Was that crazy?”

“Let’s do it again and find out.”

I lick my lower lip, tasting the sweet remnants of her lip gloss before I drop another shot. I pause for just a beat before lean down and press my mouth back to hers and let the alcohol flow between us. I flick my tongue against her teeth right before I pull away. I shouldn’t like this so much, but I do. I like the way she looks, the way she feels, they way she smells.

There’s something about her, something ventilating; like she oxygenates the atmosphere.

I catch the cool beats to a song I recognize pumping though the air. “Do you want to dance?” I ask her.

“You can dance?”

“There’s only one thing I can do better.” I smirk.

Alana cocks her eye brow suggestively.

“Draw.” I fire back. “The only thing I can do better is draw. Dirty girl.” I tease as I grab her hand and lead her out to the dance floor knowing Mac will look after our drinks.

Once we find a comfortable spot, I start to move to the smooth rhythm, leaving a little room between us so it doesn’t feel like I’m forcing myself on her. Drake sings coolly about hot love and affection as we move in sync to the beat, our bodies brushing and grazing as the music plays on, then finally coming together in a comfortable unison. I wrap one hand around her waist as I roll my hips into hers, pressing our bodies as close as they can possibly get. Alana runs her hands up my chest and hooks her arms lightly around my neck keeping tempo with the music. She moves lithely against me, inducing my heart, thoughts, and pulse to race.

Fuck, I’m drowning in want for this girl. I slide my hands up under her shirt and caress the smooth, soft skin of her lower back as she nuzzles her face into my neck, her warm breath skating across my collarbone, making me instantly hard.

Damn.

She lifts her head and meets my stare, which I know is filled with lust and unrepentantly wanton. She bites her lower lip, our bodies still jiving to the slow seductive music. In a brazen move, I slip my hand up the back of her bare thigh and cup her ass cheek under the hem of her short shorts. She gasps as I work my fingers against her, massaging the fleshy part of her bottom. I’m absolutely aching being this close to her, touching her, stroking her, grinding against her.

“Are you sure drawing is the only thing you can do better?” she pants in my ear.

“I may have had more lovers than you, and I may take my clothes off for countless women, but you are the only one who can strip me bare.”

Do you ever stop loving someone just because they’re gone? Five years ago Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remington’s life without leaving so much as a post-it note behind. He was the one she gave her heart to, her soul to, and her virginity to.  So imagine her surprise when she finds him dancing at one of NYC’s hottest male revues as Jack the Stripper.

Ryan never stopped loving Alana, and now that she serendipitously dropped back into his life, he’s vowed never to lose her again.  But being together has its costs, and challenges Alana isn’t sure she can handle.

She finally has Ryan back; but how in the world is she supposed to share the love of her life with half of the women in New York City?

Excerpt:

We stop in front of some hanging crystals. They clink as Ryan pushes them aside, “after you.”  I walk under an orange spotlight, into a small space with a white leather couch deep enough to lie on and walls a warm golden yellow.

Ryan steps in behind me and presses his body flush against mine. My mind races.
Is he really going to do this?

Am I really going to let him?

Can I even handle this? Five minutes ago he was with another woman. Quite possibly in this same room doing God only knows what.

“Why do you do this Ryan?” I expel. I know he explained it in words, but I need to experience it to truly understand.

He ambles around me so close; the only thing separating us is a whisper of air.
“I told you, the money,” he says as he unbuttons his shirt.

“You said women too,” I watch him cautiously, my gaze jumping between his eyes and his chest.

“That was before you walked back into my life. You’re the only woman I want to touch now. The others, like you saw before, it’s just an act. A business transaction. It’s what I have to do to get what I want.”

“Doesn’t it make them feel used?” I flick my eyes up at him.

“It mustn’t. They always come back.”

“You like it. I saw your face. That wasn’t an act.”

Ryan stands right in front of me, his shirt unbuttoned and dangling open. “I won’t lie to you Alana, I’ll never lie to you,” his tone is hard, but seductive. “I do like the attention. But it’s not real. It’s my job to sell attractiveness and fantasy, and I do it well. But that’s all it is, fantasy and I know it. When I’m with you, that’s my real.”

My breath catches when he says the word real. I can’t help but find the irony in his words; I’m exactly to him what he is to me. Two people one and the same, both living a double life to get what they want; a future and each other.

And that is what I want. A future, with Ryan.

I go to put my hands on his chest, but he steps away shaking his head no. “In this room, it’s all about you,” he walks around, stopping right behind me. “You have to tell me what you want Alana,” he whispers in my ear and I almost go limp, the sound of his voice is erotic as hell.

I swallow hard, but can’t utter a single word, because truth be told, I have no freakin’ idea what I want. At least, not in this scenario.

Ryan starts to rub my shoulders. I think he can feel my hesitation.

“Why are you so tense? This is supposed to be fun.”

Fun? The word rattles around in my head. Fun - a time or feeling of enjoyment or amusement.

Okay, let’s have some fun.

I turn around to face him and our eyes lock. “Show me.”

“Show you what?” his tone dripping with sensuality.

“Show me Jack the Stripper.”

Holy fuck!
