Will he discover who is hunting the Nephilim? And if he does, can he overcome the forces of evil against them?
Find out in the sequel to Sins of the Fallen, where Karina Espinosa pulls readers back to the saga unfolding in the world of angels and demons—a world where everything falls part.

Excerpt:
“There will be a time of much darkness and chaos, where The Wanderer—the marked one—will come out of hiding. He will show a blot face of a friend instead of foe, beguiling all with knowledge and longevity.
Do not be fooled. He is the first and will be the last. Destined to be the only one with true eternal life. For the marked one spends many millennia in exile, seeking greater power. Because of his immortality, he will succeed.
But with great darkness, comes even greater light. A fledgling Nephilim will emerge that changes the course of the marked one—depending on the path one chooses. With a power so great, not even the immortal Wanderer can prevail.
Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, and it will be the Nephilims decision whether to give everything or nothing at all.”
I couldn’t continue. A knot had formed in my throat and I felt nauseous. I hadn’t been eating so I didn’t know what my body could throw up, but it didn’t matter. I tossed the book to someone, I don’t remember who, and ran to the bathroom. With my head surrounded by the porcelain throne, I dry heaved but nothing came out.

The one girl he allowed to get close to him was assaulted by his own brother and Allan beat his ass within an inch of his life. He went through a lot to hide the excruciating pain he endured everyday and his secret was about to be exposed. His life was spiraling out of control. Could they hold on to the pieces long enough to mend their broken hearts? Or was it impossible?

Review
Tabitha's Review
Although I did not have a chance to read the first book in this series. I think this one could be a standalone. In this book Alecia tries to get on with her life after being raped by her so called boyfriends brother Jake. Allan tries to comfort her and reassure her that he will be there for her. Alecia is not sure that  Allan is being true to himself and to her and finds herself wanting to be with an old flame Lance. Upon finding out that she is with child and taking on Allan's addiction problems can Alecia figure out what she truly wants? does she want the romance with Allan or the HEA with Lance. Their are a lot of twists and turns in this one but over all a great book.
Sami's Review:
I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Alecia has been through hell and is having a hard time finding her way back. Allan tries to help her but he is also conflicted since his brother is the one who inflicted the pain on Alecia to begin with. It takes some time but Alecia is finally coming back into the world of the living. She is starting to paint again and also getting back to her normal life. She starts to have dizzy spells but does not want to go to the Dr. She is forced to however when her friend Nikki finds her passed out and loosing massive amount of blood. Turns out she is pregnant. Now Alecia has a reason to live but she faces the problem of who is the father. It can either be Lance or Allan and she will have no way of knowing until the child is born. Allan is suffering from severe back pain and has been taking drugs for it but one night he goes too far and ends up hospitalized as well. Allecia feels she needs to tell both men that they are the potential father. Allan is stunned and does not feel prepared at all for this. Lance is over the moon and tries everything in his power to win Alecia back. This love triangle is just wow. Then to put the cherry on top Alecia has to go to court to testify against Allan’s brother for what he did to her. As you can imagine all of this is very stressful for her. Will Alecia finally be able to decide between the two men she loves? Will Allan step up and finally stop his drug use and get his life together? Will Lance be able to convince Alecia that she is better off with him no matter who is the baby’s father? Will her tormentor finally get the fate he deserves? All the answers can be found in this amazing book.

The one story building was brick and had no windows. A neon open sign hung in the glass door. This must be a bar, but I had no other options and was not about to start driving aimlessly looking for a more family-friendly place to eat alone. I parked and entered the building.
The smell of smoke and beer met me. A long bar lined the wall with bottles of liquor filling the shelves behind it. Low hung lights with green shades gave the place little lighting. Several guys played pool in the back corner. Several other men stopped to look at me from the tables scattered around the room.
I took a deep breath and made my way to the bartender, who was watching me from the bar. The older man had graying hair and looked slightly overweight. I tried to ignore the fact that I looked like an alien in here, with my stark white dress, expensive purse, jewelry and high heels clicking on the weathered tile. I took the barstool directly in front of the bartender, feeling eyes watch me the whole way there.
“Lost?” he asked bluntly.
“And very hungry sir,” I said meekly and embarrassed.
He gave me a sad smile and handed me a sheet of laminated paper they called a menu. After quickly scanning through, I ordered a burger and fries. I anxiously played with the charms of my bracelet while waiting for my food to come. I could feel the eyes burning into my back, but the voices picked back up as I no longer was the center of attention.
I couldn’t tell if it was dark out yet from inside the dark and dingy bar. I almost laughed when I thought of my mother’s reaction if she knew where I was, instead of her well-planned party. I never went out to bars and partied like my classmates did. I stayed in, concentrated on my studies and watched as Chloe and the girls got ready to head out for nights of fun and drinking. I didn’t imagine this would be the kind of bar they would go to, though.
My food arrived and I slowly ate the burger to stall from having to start the drive home. Driving in the dark on the winding country roads was the last thing I wanted to do. After all, I know how dangerous that could be. Maybe Carter would be sitting on my patio with me right now if it had been daylight for his drive home. Maybe I wouldn’t be in this smokey bar alone.
I slid my card to the bartender when he took my empty plate. “Do you want to start a tab?” he asked me.
“For drinks?” I asked, like I have never been in a bar before. “Yes,” I answered quickly to cover my embarrassment. I could at least try to look like I know what I am doing and remotely blend in. I grabbed my ID from my purse and slid it across the bar.
“What can I get you then, sweetie?” He tucked my card under the register.
“Scotch. On the rocks,” rolled off my tongue before even thinking. I had no idea what I was thinking. I saw it in so many movies and commercials, it seemed like the right thing to say.
The bartender tried to hide his laugh and shook his head. Taking a bottle from the shelves behind him, he filled a glass and slid it in front of me. The smell burned my nose as I lifted it to my lips. He watched me curiously as I inhaled a deep breath. I took a long drink from the glass to keep up my rouse.
The liquid burned my throat like I swallowed flames. I instantly started coughing and shaking my head to clear the burn. I kept my eyes down on the ice cubes in my glass to avoid looking at the bartender. Surely, he must know how deep over my head I am by now.
“Hey, Hank,” came from a voice from next to me, drawing the worried man away from me.
“Ryder,” he said back to the voice while popping the top off a beer bottle and sliding it across the bar. I didn’t even hear him ask for one.
I rolled the glass around in my hands and kept my gaze down. I just wanted to crawl up in a hole and hide from here, this bar, and home and my family. But, I currently have no where to hide that’s not any of those places.
“You’re not from around here, are you?” I heard in a deep voice near my ear.
I looked up quickly to see the guy, named Ryder, sliding over to the stool next to me. His eyes traveled from my high heels, up my bare legs and the rest of my body before landing on my face. I wanted to cringe away from his look, but my body made no moves. I could almost feel his eyes moving up my skin.
Even with an empty and broken heart, my mind could not ignore that the face in front of mine was striking. Black hair spiked in every direction. His pointed jaw and high cheekbones brought all your attention to piercing, dark brown eyes. Some stubble on his chin made him look older, but his broad shoulders and wide chest showed a body of someone younger. He raised one eyebrow at me, reminding me he asked a question.
“Um…no. I’m not,” I stuttered, turning away from his handsome face. He was opposite of Carter in almost every way. I could see him still watching me from the corner of my eye, so I took another drink to break the tension. My body shuddered as the Scotch burned it’s way down.
“Hank, Mojito,” he called out, slamming his hand on the bar.
Hank slid a tall glass with mint leaves and a clear liquid inside. I turned to look at Ryder in shock as he slid the Scotch away from me and downed the rest.
“This is better. Trust me,” he said, sliding the glass closer to me.
In utter curiosity, I took a small sniff. The smell of citrus and mint was a delightful contrast to the previous drink.
“Thank you,” I said, bringing the drink to my lips. The drink burned when swallowed, but then was washed away with the freshness of mint, lime and bubbles.
“Ryder,” the stranger said, sticking out his hand. His eyes shined bright with amusement and something that looked almost daring, like he was challenging me.
“Kallie,” I answered, putting my hand in his. His large hand covered mine. It was rough and instantly warmed my whole body.I have an obsession with owls.

Bittersweet Revenge Release Day and Review...

Bittersweet Revenge
by J.L. Beck
Series: Bittersweet, #1
Genre: Mature YA/New Adult - Novella
Publish Date: July 26, 2014

I’m a slut. Or at least that’s what everyone calls me. I guess that’s what you get when everyone thinks you've slept with the whole football team and then some.

My junior year of high school I gave my heart to Corey Winchester. He was handsome, cocky, and a pure gentlemen. Then everything changed in an instant. When I found out he was spreading malicious rumors about me, after I refused to sleep with him I was utterly surprised. To add to it, he broke up with me in front of the whole school. I essentially became the laughing stock of the town. People that I once called my friends became my enemies. Finding a way to ruin my life one day at a time.

Now the shitty part is I should have known a pretty boy like him was too good to be true. After ruining my reputation and life I did everything I could to stay under the radar, but it just wasn't enough. I slowly learned that all the torment, and hate was all for one thing. Revenge. That’s what Corey wanted, and why I didn't know. Then Rex Winchester came along. Corey’s cousin, and someone I knew I shouldn't be getting close with. A whole six feet of hotness, a smile that melted the panties off of every girl in a fifty mile radius, and a heart of gold. He could have anyone he wanted, so why he chose me Corey’s ex, the bullied, slutty girl was beyond me. All I knew was that I wanted him. I wanted him more than anything. The problem was, I couldn't tell if Rex, was just like Corey or if his intentions were as innocent as he was making them out to be.

My names Jenna Haines, and this is the story of how the one thing I wanted.. turned out to be the one thing that would hurt me the most. What happens when the one thing you least expect to happen, does? When all the lies and secrets come out. Well you're about find out.

Our eyes met from across the table. His looking as if they were asking for more, answers. He looked curious, and I wasn’t looking for curious. “Yeah mine too. Let’s go get a shake. FFA still does that shake Friday thing right?” I asked. I could really go for a mint chocolate-chip shake right about now. We got up to dump our trays, but before I could move out of my seat an arm snaked around my shoulder pushing me back down. I turned all but growling as I realized the arm belonged to the mongrel Corey. “Remove your fucking arm from my body before I show you what it’s like to have your balls stuffed up your ass.” He smiled, a big toothy grin, dimples and all that use to have me melting in his hands, now I just wanted to puke all over his face. Distress singles were going off like crazy in my head.

“Tsk, tsk, is that anyway to talk to me Jenna?” He said his arm very much still around me. I was about to lose my shit. “Move on asshole, no one cares what you have to say.” Mimi yelled.

He tilted his head at her as if trying to find her one weakness. The best thing about Mimi was anything that he said to her she would brush off. I however wouldn't.

“Hmm. Why don’t you stop worrying about me, and put your tits back in your shirt. That is unless you're joining the slut club that Jenna here is the president of?” Mimi smiled, leaning across the table, giving him a huge eyeful of her cleavage. “I think your lost buddy, president of the slut club is Marie Jameson.” She replied in a sultry tone pointing to the end of the table.

“But in case you can’t find her let me draw you a map with some crayons, you go past leave us the fuck alone, turn right at fuck off, and oh look you're in slut country.” His eyes dilated, and I couldn’t hold my laughter in. Mimi always knew how to tell someone to fuck off.

I pushed his arm off of me, catching a smirk on Rex’s face at the end of the table, knowing he had probably heard the whole conversation.

Corey gazed at me, following my line of vision to Rex. As soon as I seen I was caught I dropped my eyes down to my tray. The last thing I needed was Corey having yet another thing to use against me. His face leaned into mine, I could feel his hot breath on my cheek. The last time we were in a position like this was the very last time he kissed me. It was the last time, he ever treated me like anything other than a door mat.

“I won't warn you off, because you know what I’m capable of Jenna. But if you think you have a chance with Rex you’re more than fucking wrong. Don’t cross me, you know as much as I do you don’t fit in with that crowd. I mean look at us, how well did that work out. If you think I make your life hard now, lets just say it can get ten times harder.” He whispered in my ear, wrapping a small strand of my hair around his finger before standing.

“Also you might want to start fighting your own battles. Oh and nice tits Mimi.” He said loudly well smirking. My heart was racing, as he walked away. An encounter like that never happened before. School had been in session only a week and I knew that he would more than live up to his word on hurting me.

“What a fucking douche-asshat-fucking-cumsucker” Mimi said under her breath as he walked away. I couldn't agree more, but I wasn't going to keep retaliating against him. One he wasn't worth it really, and two I would be out of here in nine short months. If I could just manage to get through it.

Mimi reached across the table and grabbed my hand, pushing me from my thoughts. “Don’t let his false threats get to you. He will get what’s coming to him, he will pay for what he’s done to you. Maybe not today, or tomorrow but someday. I swear to it Jenna.” She said sincerely.

“You know I love you right. If I was into girls I would totally choose you as my girlfriend. No homo of course.” She giggled. “Sorry love, but I’m very much into dick. Like a lot.” I laughed back. This was true friendship right here. Now to get through the rest of the day without another encounter from either of the Winchester boys.

Tabitha's Review

This book is great for the YA readers. A perfect lesson of bullying and how one
girl seeks to get revenge at the the ones who brought her down and made fun of her and hurt the most.
Jenna is a great student who was looking for love in the wrong place that was until she befriended Rex sure they hit it off as friends at first shying their relationship from others. Then when Jenna thinks that things are going smooth with Rex a bomb goes off and her world of love is turned upside down again. Can Jenna get past all the hatred and rumors about her? Will her revenge be bittersweet? Will she ever be able to find true love? Be sure to find out when you pick up a copy for yourself.

                                    Sami's Review

The only thing Jeanna is looking forward to this year is graduating so that she can get out of this town once and for all. She is tired of being the target of bullying by Corey and his sister and their numerous friends. She has no idea why they have solely targeted her I mean it can’t only be because she didn’t put out. Which makes the rumors about her being a hoe bag and slut all the more ironic. Her best friend Mimi is the only saving grace she has. Mimi sticks up for her and gives her courage. On the first day of school she spies a hunk of a man and for the first time in a long time shows interest in a boy. Too bad he is related to her arch nemesis Corey. Still she tried to give Rex the benefit of the doubt and tires to learn to trust again. Mimi helps her plot her revenge against Corey even though she has reservations. Jenna just wants to stay out of the spot light and get this year over with. Of course her bullies are having none of that. When Jenna finds out why she is being targeted she just can’t believe it. She even begins to question her best friend’s loyalty. Finding out that everyone but herself knew the cause is a harsh blow. Will Jenna be able to survive the school year with her dignity in tact? Will the vicious rumors about her finally break her down completely? Will her friendship survive her insecurities? Will placing her trust in Rex back fire on her and cause her more pain? This is a great story about how high school bullying can affect people’s lives and their possibilities of rising above it all to become a better person.
