Ray is devastated when he finds Sidney laid out in her back yard but that is not the worst e sees that day. With Sidney in the hospital and the note he found inside her home Ray knows that she will not be coming back to LA with him. He continues to try and convince Sidney that his affair is over and that she is forbidden to see Adrian again. When Sidney wakes up and realizes what has happened she is devastated. Looking for comfort the only place she finds is it is with Adrian. Ray’ philandering ways come back to bite him in the ass and a fight of epic proportions ensues. While Ray is hiding in LA Sidney tries to move on but it is so hard. It feels like her heart has been ripped right from her chest. Pills and Adrian are the only balm to her fractured heart. The more time she spends with Adrian the more she falls for him with what little of her heart she has left. When Ray makes a request to se her again after six months Sidney agrees. Despite all that has happened she still loves Ray. When Ray wants to take their relationship from 0-150 Sidney has a choice to make. Sidney Sinclair is your typical small town girl just dreaming of the day that she will break free into the bigger world that is out there. Her relationship with Ray Ryker has been steady for four years with no sign in sight of changing and that is just fine with them, Sidney makes the choice to put her dreams on hold in order to support Ray’s dream of becoming a rock star. When they get to LA everything is happening so fast. Not long after their arrival Sidney gets the call that her Granny has had a stroke and so she returns to North Carolina to take care of her. That starts the beginning of the hardships for this young couple. While Sidney is determined to care for her Granny she is also determined to stand by Ray. Yet the longer he is in LA and she is home the worse things get. When she makes a surprise visit to Ray for his birthday she gets the biggest surprise of her life. On her mission to forget Ray she drowns her sorrows and meets a man that has been literally haunting her dreams for quite some time. In these dreams Adrian loves her beyond anything imaginable. With her heart still in Ray’s hands Sidney is confused by her feelings for Adrian. Attempting to give their relationship another try the unimaginable happens. Someone seems determined to keep Sidney right where she is at whatever cost.

Cynthia Austin lives in Northern California with her husband, two boys, and Olde English Bulldogge named Count Dogula. They love all things horror, gothic, and Victorian which prompts her friends to dub them as “The Adams Family.”
She is an avid reader who may be slightly obsessed with music. She hears music in a way that she believes the artist intended it to be heard: visually, with a storyline that follows. Listening to the songs by her favorite artists, she was inspired to write her first series titled “The Pendant.”
Cynthia has been published twice in The Writer’s Monthly Magazine as well as the online news site, Yahoo! Voices. She currently attends Diablo Valley College, in Pleasant Hill, California, where she is working to achieve her degree in English.
